Ridge Case for AirTag Review
[Buyers Guide 2022]
As the most popular wallet brand in the world, I’d have been shocked if Ridge didn’t come up with a way of storing an AirTag on its highly desired and famed wallet. If you’re not aware of the Ridge Wallet then you should be. Founded in 2014 through a successful Kickstarter Campaign, Ridge paved the way for what become the transition from bulky leather bi-folds to more innovative, slimline, and creative wallets.
The iconic design of the Ridge has changed the way we think about men’s wallets. It innovate in such a way that paved the way for change, leading the charge in a then dull and saturated industry and allowing for meaningful change, in what we now define as a wallet. Let’s now take a closer look at the Ridge AirTag Case and see if it’s the perfect way to carry the latest accessory from Apple.
Look & Design
The Ridge Carbon Case itself works similar to both the Fantom Airtag Holder, and Aviator Cash Clip that we discuss in our detailed article on the ‘Best AirTag Wallets’ article. This basically means this AirTag Holder is an extension to the Ridge, an accessory, the clips to the outside using screws and securely fits providing a minimalist and non-intrusive way to carry an AirTag with you at all times.
The design of the Ridge Wallet AirTag Case is probably one of my faviourtites. What’s great, is it perfectly blends into the wallet and doesn’t add that much weight or bulk to the Ridge thanks to its carbon fiber design. Carbon Fiber itself, shouldn’t need any introduction. Its best known for its use in supercar interiors and this is due to its attractive design and amazing utility being both lightweight and durable.
Functionality & Utility
So who is best suited for the Ridge AirTag Case? If you already own a Ridge Wallet then this is probably the best way to carry your AirTag with little to no trouble, while not needing to swap wallets. For those who don’t own a Ridge Wallet then the upfront cost of purchasing a Ridge Wallet, and also the Ridge AirTag Case, is going to cost you upwards of $135.00 – not cheap.
That being said, The Ridge Wallet is one of the most popular, sort after, and well-received wallets on the market. At present, they have over 20,000 reviews at 5-star ratings, and including the amazing Ridge Guarantee (which covers against damage), if anything was to go wrong with the wallet you can get it replaced no questions asked.
Overall, I found the Ridge AirTag Case a joy to use. It does exactly what it says on the tin, creating an enclosed secure environment to store an AirTag with a durable case while creating a lightweight carry experience. If you already own the Ridge, then the case can be yours for $40.00. You can buy a bundle on the Ridge Website for a reduced cost of $130.00 here.
