The Garzini Essenziale Magic Wallet Review

I always enjoy discovering brands that go above and beyond to create something truly unique. The Garzini Essenziale is no exception to this rule. You might be wondering what the term ‘magic wallet’ actually means as this was the phase that also first caught my attention when researching the wallet.

For now, all you need to know is that it’s a great innovation in the way you store your physical banknotes and is a design that flourishes in many ways better than most wallets on the market today.

‘Garzini stands for passion, attention to detail, durability and the will to be different in an unexpected elegant way. The patented Versaflex system is developed in house and based on numerous amounts of feedback from customers.  We constantly apply our personal experiences to further optimize the products, we listen to our customers and regularly take inspiration for new products from our social media fans’.

Look & Design

On the surface, the Garzini Essesziale looks like a pretty standard leather wallet. With a compact square look, the wallet is a halfway hybrid in size somewhere between a classic leather bi-fold and a minimalist wallet. The wallet isn’t much to look at in my personal opinion but that entirely subjective but it doesn’t do anything for more.

The wallet is made from genuine leather. If you know anything about the leather industry then that actually isn’t a good thing. Genuine leather is actually one of the lowest grades of leather made and marketed as something more premium than it actually is. For more information on understanding leather grades & quality check out our article on it here. Regardless, of its leather quality, I found the wallet is built very well and hasn’t shown as sort of wear or tear over the month I’ve been exclusively using it.

The wallet has a classy look and comes in a large range of colors including brown, black and even green. I tested the standard brown version and I must say it does look good. The feel of the material is something I should also mention. As mentioned the material is genuine leather but the leather has a suede finish feeling soft to the touch with a slight texture. It’s nice and something I’ve not really seen on a wallet before.

Functionality & Utility

The wallet has a card capacity between 10 – 16 cards and a dedicated area in the middle for paper items such as notes & receipts. That’s a really large capacity especially since the wallet is smaller in size compared to most traditional bi-fold wallets. The most noticeable feature of the wallet is it’s so-called ‘magic’ features.

Named the versflex system it’s aim is for the wallet to do the work and put the money away for you. Reach your notes faster depending on which side you choose the open the wallet from. It really is fun like a mechanism and is well thought out and functional in practice and design. It’s quite difficult to explain how it works in works so watch the video below – from Garzini – to see how the versaflex system works in practice.

Final Verdict

The Garzini Essenziale is a fun stylish and functional leather wallet. If you’re intrigued by the innovation of the magic wallet features then I’m sure this would be a great wallet for you. In practice, the wallet works well and has a strong design. The wallet can get quite bulky and you definitely feel it in the pocket so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a more minimalist style wallet.

Coming in at a price tag of $45.00 the Garzini is fairly priced at a mid-range price level. For more information on the Essenziale and the entire Garzini range visit their website by clicking the link below.
