Have you ever been overwhelmed with varieties when it comes to a brand of wallet? That is what the thread wallet does to you. The first time I heard about the thread wallet, my picture I had in my head was different compared to what I encountered the first time I saw it. Thread wallet is a minimalist wallet and it stays true to its minimalist nature across at its designs and shapes.
The biggest catch about the minimalist wallet is that it is an elasticated wallet and can stretch to accommodate more than its original shape. The thread wallet also comes in a variety of ways and for different uses such as a phone case, fixing on your lanyards, sticking on phones, the bi-folds, and the vertical wallet.
For me, it’s always been about using wallets that are stylish and serve a purpose. The thread wallet holds its own on both metrics. The thread wallet is designed to help secure your card as it does that both in its stretchy nature and through the strong materials used in making it. Having ordered and received the thread wallet, here’s what I think about it. Let’s take a closer look at what the thread wallet has to offer.
‘We carry your identity, your unrelinquished passion for progress. Your reason for being. Your individuality amongst uniformity. We’re redefining the way you carry “you”, and you look damn good doing it. With our wallets, we know that functionality and expression are woven together to create the perfect extension of who you are. On the shelf, the hook, in your bag or pocket, we’ll hold it together while you do your thing.’
Look & Design
The common material present in each of the thread wallet design is the elastic material. On the phone case thread wallet, it sits on the back of leather attached to a phone casing. The idea is to secure your cards along with your phone. There is an elastic wallet that is made with tight-knit and durable elastic material. The slim nature helps it to fit perfectly into the pocket. The design comes with a holder where you can attach your lanyards, gym passes, keys, etc…
The stick-on wallet design is built to fit on the back of phones and phone cases. It is a combination of rich leather and a well-knitted elastic. There is the bifold design that is the biggest in terms of size and amount of cards it can accommodate. It comes in a full-grain leather patch and tightly knitted elastic. The vertical wallet also comes with a holder to attach keys, lanyards etc while looking gorgeous its elastic and leather design.
The elastic designs are awesome and a pleasure to the eyes. It comes in a mixture of colors like the rainbow.
Functionality & Utility
The thread wallet is useful in many ways, and that is one of the things I like about it aside from the design. You can use it as a key holder and attach it to your lanyards. The phone case design helps to secure your cards along with your phone, while other designs easily sit in your pocket. There is also the silicon strip inside to provide grip on the inside of the pocket.
The Bifolds come with RFID blocking and houses the highest amount of cards (4-10 cards) of all the designs. Other designs can hold between 2-6 cards conveniently.
The thread wallet is a good elastic minimalist wallet. The designs are beautiful and stylish. The only issue might be that it gets dirty, and you will need to wash it. You wash by dipping a soft cloth in a highly diluted solution of mild soap and water, then gently wipe the areas with stain and leave the wallet to dry.
The Thread wallet comes in at a cheap price of $15.00. I think this is one of the fairest prices I’ve come across especially with the massive surge in wallet costs we’ve seen recently.
What I like about the Thread wallet is it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. Just a simple minimalist wallet with a range of amazing colors and patterns to choose from. This wallet is best for someone with a keen desire for excentric colors and loves the vibrant nature of the wallets.
