Trayvax Armored Summit Wallet Review
Is this the most affordable tactical wallet?
As one of the most popular wallet brands on the market, dealing exclusively with unique, tactical-focused wallets Trayvax really needs no introduction. While a lot of the range is quite dear in price the Armored Summit Wallet is a hidden gem, as Trayvax’s budget EDC Wallet coming in at a very reasonable price tag of $34.99. With a minimalist size at just 3.75 x 2.35 Inches and an objectively attractive design, the Armored Summit is a great compromise between a smaller size and a wallet that is best suited for outdoor usage playing into its tactical nature. The Summit wallet itself is made from a heat-resistant, steel plate that is crafted to perfection, with intricate detailing, but also very lightweight (3.36 oz). These metal plates from the entire wallet where cash and cards are wedged between in an easy to access manner. This is thanks to the many cutouts in the metal that allow for a finger or thumb to slide cards out seamlessly and efficiently.
In terms of capacity, the Trayvax Summit is surprisingly roomy with around a max capacity of up to 7 cards and around 1 – 5 bills (folded). Cash is stored under the included cash clip. This strap made from MIL-SPEC nylon webbing for a near impossible-to-break strap and maximum security of your cash. The Summit wallet is also available in a small but very nice array of colors, that fit with the wallet’s tactical theme, including the likes of shadow black, stone grey, OD Green, and Coyote Brown.
Other features that play into the tactical nature of the Summit wallet include the likes of an attachment point, integrated bottle opener, and designed with resistance to the elements in mind including heat resistance and RFID Security as standard. Overall, I was very impressed with the Trayvax Summit Wallet. The breadth of features is fantastic for such a small wallet and the actual build quality of the wallet, especially when considering its affordability, is amazing. All this for only $34.99 and including Trayvax’s 65-year heirloom warranty you really have nothing to lose.
