Harber London Flip Case Review

A Minimalist Leather / Felt Hybrid

If there’s a material choice I’ve always had a soft spot for in wallet design it’s definitely Felt. It’s a material that always has a fantastic look and feels to it, while also providing surprisingly high durability. The only other brand I’ve ever seen use felt is Hardgraft, and similar to Harber London, they produce some of the most attractive wallets on the market. Today we’re going to be reviewing the Flip Card Case wallet by Harber London. A simple leather/felt hybrid wallet with a minimalist size and compact nature. Let’s get started.

The first thing to note about the Flip Card case is its amazing craftsmanship. Made from a premium Full Grain Leather which can easily be identified by its rich color, thick hide, and the wallet’s ability to generate a wonderful leather patina over extended use. Along with this, the inside of the wallet is lined with a high-quality 100% Wool Felt a natural fiber harvested from sheep. This contrast between the beautiful leather and wool really adds to the attractiveness of the wallet and I think it looks great.

Functionality-wise the wallet is somewhere in between a minimalist wallet and a full standard bi-fold. It measures 16.7 x 10.1 cm which isn’t overly small, but not large either, and a decent capacity of up to 8 - 12 cards (as recommended by Harber London) split among the wallets 4 card slots. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend storing as many as storing large amounts of cards in so little slots causes bulking issues and makes it harder to access the credit/debit cards you need. This is also complicated by the fact physical banknotes are stored flat also within either of the two internal card slots.

Overall, I was highly impressed with the Harber London Flip Case and found it to be an easy-to-use wallet, with good storage and a decent size. Coming in at a price tag of £49.00 (or about $65.25) it is reasonable and very affordable considering the fantastic quality and durability the wallet provides.
