Premium Wallets with Quality Materials

If you’re looking for a brand that’s perfected the use of a certain leather then you can do much worse than Ashland Leather. Founded by two ex-employees of leather tanneries, Ashland exclusively uses Horween leather in all of its wallets and apparel. Horween Leather is a leather developed by a famous tannery of the same name. Shell Cordovan is actually leather made from the rump of a horse. It’s famous for its high density, amazing feel, and scarcity. Ashland Leather has built a brand upon using this famous leather in conjunction with quality craftsmanship.

Ashland Leather has a great variety of wallets to choose from ranging from minimalist cardholders to classic bi-folds. That being said, Ashland is all about keeping with tradition. Their range of wallets doesn’t exactly push the boundaries of innovation and you won’t find features such as RFID or quick access slots - This isn’t what they’re about. What you will get though is a perfectly handcrafted wallet that will last the test of time thanks to building quality and the Cordovan Leather. The range is simple but effective and if you want great cash or card storage anyone of their wallets will function perfectly and as intended.

One aspect that is worth mentioning is the unique array of colors the Cordovan leather is available in. These colors range from standard browns to vibrant blue, greens, or red, but what makes them really stand out is the unique splattered dye look. This is caused by the tannery deliberately allowing the dye to flow freely creating a distinctive look unique to each individual wallet. Finally, the seal of approval for Horween leather is stamped directly onto the surface of each wallet. This includes the word Horween on the front with the year they were founded in 1905. This is cool and many people are disappointed to find out this will fade away over time.

Starting at a price tag of $65.00 and ranging up to $225.00 the Ashland range of wallets aren’t the cheapest on the market. This is obviously due to their use of Horween leather, probably one of the most expensive leathers to source in the world. You can’t fault the quality of Ashland Leather and if you’re willing to pay the price, are a big advocate of vintage design then you can do a lot worse than an Ashland Shell Cordovan Wallet.
