A Unique way to Crowdfund Wallets

Gustin is an odd brand that uses crowdfunding to produce and manufacturer all its products. At first, their website seems pretty standard, but instead of simply buying a wallet, you’ll be greeted with the option to ‘back’ the product much like you would on Kickstarter or any other crowdfunding website. This way of selling products gives Gustin the opportunity to keep things fresh, innovative, and better gauge what people are looking for. Products that don’t get funded simply don’t make the cut, and it allows for Gustin to quickly test new designs for the ever-changing apparel/clothing landscape.

Today, we’re going to be looking at the current range of wallets by Gustin along with looking at some of the previous successful wallet campaigns they’ve offered. The first thing to note about Gustin Wallet’s is their choice of leather used for all their wallets. This leather is of course the famed Horween Leather, especially shell cordovan or chromexcel, which is renowned for being one the best quality full-grain leathers in the world. This immediately gives the wallet’s a premium and quality nature. The leather is soft, yet durable, develops a beautiful patina, and is crafted to perfection.

In terms of the type of wallets Gustin offers, they range from the likes of simple cardholders to much larger bi-fold style wallets. I’d be lying if I said any of the Gustin wallets tried to innovate or provide anything different - they don’t. Simple storage of cash and cards is all you can really expect. The main reason for getting your hands on a Gustin Wallet is their premium quality and craftsmanship along with their insane value for money.

Overall, I was highly impressed with Gustin and the way they operate. The average cost of crowdfunding a wallet from Gustin is anywhere from $17.00 up to $60.00. Considering the quality of the Gustin wallet range, I was shocked by their prices. The only problem with Gustin is can take a long time after you’ve invested in a wallet to receive it. Unlike brands that mass produce wallets, you’ll have to wait until at least 1 month before they arrive.
