Braun Buffel Wallet Review
A Wallet Brand dating back to the 19th Century
Braun Buffel is a German company with family origins dating back to 1887. Over this long history, they’ve managed to develop a brand of trust, style, and dependability producing a range of men’s and women’s apparel goods. Their logo, the bull icon, is often seen to represent this manta and they continue to innovate to keep the reputation they have built showcasing decades of design and craftsmanship.
Today we’re going to focus on their wallet range and the wallet which I tried – The Big Money Zip Wallet. As the name suggests this wallet is in the classic zip-around style with the ability to store a wide variety of items inside including cash and cards. Along with this, the wallet has an internal flap, also known as a passcase wallet, that has an ID window for an easier time showing an ID Card. Finally, the capacity of this wallet is insane, and considering its smallish size (coming in at 110mm L x 95mm H) with 12 credit card slot it can store up to 24 cards easily.
Material and craftsmanship are where the Braun Buffel Wallets really shines. Each wallet is made from a combination of Nylon with calf leather. While the Nylon provides some much-needed strength and duality to each wallet the Calfskin Leather is attractive, smooth, and soft providing a more premium look and feel. Overall, I was very impressed with the design of their Zip wallet and its amazing versatility. The wallet simply worked and its design was pleasing to use while its craftsmanship seems like it could hold up for years to come.
Braun Buffel is not for those looking for a bargain. Their wallet range starts at $119.00 for their Edison Money clip wallet and ranges as high as $279.00 for their most expensive Long Wallets. Most wallets sit on the cheaper side but starting at already above the $100 mark mean’s Braun Buffel has already priced out most customers. So are these wallets worth their premium price tag? I’ll go on a limb and say yes. I think the range of wallet is provided is great and the craftsmanship, design, and innovation in certain designs (long, chain, and zip) show Braun Buffel is a wallet worth your interest.
