A bold new take on everyday carry, the Atlas wallet blends wireless charging, smart tracking, and modular design - and backers are buying in. A new contender in the growing market of smart wallets, the Atlas MagSafe Wallet is currently attracting serious attention on Kickstarter. With 11 days still remaining in its campaign, Atlas has already raised £159,674 from 2,193 backers, far surpassing typical crowdfunding expectations for a wallet-based product.

At its core, Atlas is pitched as the world’s first 5-in-1 smart MagSafe wallet. Designed to integrate seamlessly with Apple’s ecosystem, it combines the features of a wallet, 3-in-1 wireless charger, Apple Watch charger, phone stand, and AirTag tracker — all in a slim form factor that attaches magnetically to the back of your iPhone.

Most MagSafe wallets suffer from a core flaw: they block wireless charging, forcing users to detach them every time they need power. Atlas solves this by engineering an ultra-thin wireless charging coil that remains active while connected. It can simultaneously charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods — a feature typically only found in standalone charging stations.

The wallet’s Apple Find My integration is fully native, eliminating the need for third-party apps or separate AirTag inserts. A hidden speaker allows for close-range location with a loud ping, and the wallet’s location can be tracked anywhere via your iPhone.

Atlas also introduces a unique adjustable hinge, turning the wallet into a stand that supports your phone in portrait or landscape. Whether you’re on a video call, watching Netflix, or following a recipe, the stand adapts to the task.

On the storage side, Atlas accommodates six cards by default, with two on the exterior, two within the RFID-protected interior, and two more in a clear pocket suitable for SIM cards or cash. For heavier carriers, an optional Card Expansion Module magnetically adds capacity for up to 14 cards without significantly increasing bulk.

Construction-wise, Atlas combines vegan leather with an internal aluminum frame for durability, while maintaining a sleek, minimal profile that remains pocket-friendly. According to the creators, building a full Apple-compatible charging and tracking system into such a compact frame required months of prototyping and miniaturisation.

Behind Atlas is founder Alex, a self-described digital nomad who became frustrated by the need to remove his MagSafe wallet for charging. His idea to turn the wallet into a charger evolved into Atlas, now being backed by thousands who share the same frustration.

With just 11 days to go, the campaign is continuing to gain momentum, appealing to Apple users looking to reduce pocket clutter without giving up functionality. It remains to be seen how the product will perform post-launch, but for now, Atlas is proving that wallets might just be the next frontier of smart everyday tech.
