The Lo Esencial Classic Wallet is one of the most unusual looking wallets I’ve come across this year. Made from a single piece of leather and taking a trifold design the wallet has great versatility, functionality and a small form factor coming in at just 7 cm x 9.5 cm x 1 cm. Lo Esencial achieves this by creating a wallet that doesn’t use any unnecessary leather and its stitchless design means no unnecessary stacking or bulking of leather. Speaking of leather Lo Esencial uses so great quality leather also keeping up the wallet’s premium nature with full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. This leather is available in either a deep reddish color or a stark black – both great picks. 

The Classic Wallet’s functionality is also strong thanks to the previously mentioned trifold design. With a capacity for between 3 – 9 cards and a full-width slot for cash that lies and spams across the entire width of the wallet for seamless access to your banknotes. A flap of leather is then folded over the cash and clipped in place using a secondary brass snap pin that also adds to its vintage design & aesthetics. You also get the choice to add some customization to the wallet in the form of a Monogram. This allows for your initials or any combination of letters or numbers to be printed on the front of the wallet. 

The thing that surprises me most about the Lo Esencial Wallet is its price tag. Coming in at only $34.00 USD. Initially, I was shocked at the wallet’s price tag of $649.00 but quickly released it was priced in Mexican peso which also used the Dollar symbol. I immediately went from astonished to its high price to its incredibly affordable price tag especially considering what I consider to be a highly innovative, quality, and handmade wallet. I can’t recommend the Classic Wallet by Lo Esencial enough and think it’s one of the creative wallets I’ve reviewed this year.
