Ekster Unveils the Wallet Pro – A Premium Upgrade to a Modern Classic
The new Wallet Pro, crafted from premium Italian leather, features increased capacity and more.
Ekster has just announced its latest flagship wallet: the Wallet Pro. Described as the “evolution of an icon,” this new model builds on the brand’s signature design with a series of thoughtful upgrades—both in materials and features.
Details are still limited, with the announcement currently exclusive to Ekster’s email subscribers, but here’s what we know so far.
The most notable change is in the materials. The Wallet Pro is crafted from premium Italian Vachetta leather and 100% recycled metal. While we’re still waiting on more specifics about Ekster’s sourcing and recycling process, it’s good to see the brand continuing to prioritise sustainability—something they’ve become known for as one of the most eco-conscious independent wallet makers on the market.

Ekster Pro Wallet: In Red
For those unfamiliar, Vachetta leather is a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather made from cowhide. As our friends at Carl Friedrik put it, “Vachetta, in particular, is distinguished by its high fat content and natural, almost untreated finish. The fat content creates a soft, buttery-to-the-touch finish.” It’s also famously favoured by luxury brands like Louis Vuitton—fun fact of the day.
In terms of functionality, the Wallet Pro sees a modest bump in card capacity, now holding up to 14 cards compared to the standard 12. It also includes a redesigned money clip exclusive to this model, and most interestingly, an upgrade to a full-metal card ejection mechanism—ditching the plastic component found in Ekster’s previous designs.

Colour options haven’t been fully confirmed yet, but teaser images hint at bold red and blue variants, with more likely to follow.
I’m genuinely excited to get my hands on one and run a proper side-by-side comparison with Ekster’s previous models. Early access begins March 27th with 20% off for the first 500 orders. The Wallet Pro officially launches to the public on April 1st.
