ZENLET was founded in 2015 in Taiwan by Ian Hsieh, an engineering graduate from National Taiwan University with a lifelong passion for product design. After analysing every minimalist wallet on the market, Hsieh set out to design a wallet that solved the small frustrations he kept finding. The result was the original ZENLET wallet, with a patented single-thumb slide-open mechanism that fans cards out for instant access, paired with a flexible RFID-blocking card that keeps stored cards secure while still allowing daily-use RFID cards (like metro passes) to remain readable. The wallet launched successfully on Kickstarter and went on to win both the 2016 Good Design Award and the 2016 Red Dot Award. The brand has continued to design new minimalist EDC products including the ZENLET 3 Pro with magnetic modular components and integrated coin storage.
