Wingback

Wingback was founded in 2014 by industrial designer Alasdair MacLaine in London. Frustrated with throwaway culture, MacLaine launched the brand with a single product, the Cash Wallet, via Kickstarter, designed and hand-stitched in London using a single piece of vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather and a precision-machined brass fastener. The brand has since grown into a broader collection of wallets, travel wallets, machined pens and pencils, notebooks, and hip flasks, all built around the philosophy of buy once and keep forever. Wingback partners with British craftspeople, uses full-grain Tuscan leather and aerospace-grade metals, commits 1 percent of revenue to the planet, and offers extensive personalisation including engraving and thread colour choices. The brand is a recognised name in modern British EDC and has won design awards including the Red Dot Design Award for the pencil.
