The Frenchie Co was founded in 2015 in Bogota, Colombia by brothers Camilo and Daniel Mejia. Camilo, a civil engineer, and Daniel, a business administrator, set out to fix the bulky wallets they were tired of carrying. The brand name was inspired by their French bulldog Bruce. Their first product, the Speed Wallet, launched on Indiegogo and raised $125,268 in 38 days, one of the most successful Colombian crowdfunding campaigns ever. Built around a trifold design with magnetic closure, RFID protection, and full-grain Italian leather, the Speed Wallet quickly built an international following. Frenchie Co now produces wallets, anti-theft backpacks, and other premium everyday carry goods, with a US-based operation serving customers worldwide.
