Aviation-Inspired Engineering Meets Everyday Carry
A sleek fusion of aviation-grade materials and minimalist engineering - Meet the Aero Concept Card Case.
A fusion of aeronautical precision and minimalist elegance, the Aero. Concept Card Case is a wallet like no other. Designed and handcrafted in France by the visionary Yasuhiro Koyama, the card case stands as a testament to industrial craftsmanship, refined engineering, and modern luxury.
Koyama, an experienced craftsman with a background in aviation maintenance and precision mechanics, founded Aero. Concept in 2003. His aim was simple yet bold: to reinterpret everyday objects using the precision and principles of aircraft design. The result is a collection of functional art pieces—wallets, pen cases, business card holders—each assembled with the same meticulous care as an aircraft component.
The Card Case itself is machined from high-grade aluminium and stainless steel, combining strength with striking visual appeal. Its clamshell-like opening mechanism operates with a satisfying, engineered smoothness, while the minimal form factor ensures it remains discreet and lightweight in the pocket. Every element, from the custom-made rivets to the brushed metal finish, reflects the brand’s dedication to quality and detail.

What sets Aero. Concept apart isn’t just its bold design language but the consistency across its entire range. Whether it’s the pen case, business card holder, or even the coin case, each item shares the same design DNA—aluminium chassis, hand-riveted joints, and functional precision—making the collection feel both cohesive and distinctively futuristic.
Far from being just another minimalist wallet, the Aero. Concept Card Case is a deliberate statement. It’s an object made not for the mass market but for those who appreciate the intersection of industrial design and artisan craftsmanship. And in an age of fast fashion and disposable accessories, that makes it something rare: a wallet built to last—and be admired.

So what do i think of these card cases? Honestly, they’re right up my ally. Innovative design, quality materials and a true passion and crafmanship that is honestly not the norm these days in our fast fashion throw away culture. The card cases themselves remind me of the old Fusion Wallet’s that were first relased on Kickstarter back in 2013 by Thomas Johnson. These wallets had a simular design combinding wood and metal in an innovative style - something I loved back then and still love today (it’s a shame i lost my original fusion wallet back in 2019).
