Billy Kirk was founded in 1999 in Los Angeles by brothers Chris and Kirk Bray, pioneers of the Made in America movement. The brand moved to Jersey City, New Jersey in 2005 to expand its design studio, and has been crafting wallets, bags, belts, and accessories in the USA ever since, often working with leather artisans in Amish country using antique tools. Billy Kirk uses vegetable-tanned leather from American tanneries including Wickett & Craig, and has collaborated with brands including Vans, Levi's, Intelligentsia Coffee, The Ace Hotel, and Target.
