Big Skinny

Big Skinny was founded in 2005 by Kiril Stefan Alexandrov, a serial entrepreneur with a background spanning IBM, literary publishing, and biotechnology. Alexandrov designed the original Big Skinny after suffering back pain from sitting on a thick leather wallet and being unable to find a slim enough alternative. The brand's proprietary nylon microfiber material is approximately 12 times thinner than leather, with a non-slip interior coating and water-resistant construction. Big Skinny is a small, family-run business based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with Kiril and his wife Catherine running operations together.
