Corter Leather and Cloth started in 2007 in founder Eric Heins's college dorm room, after he couldn't afford to buy a wallet from the influential Japanese leather brand Red Moon and decided to make one himself. Posting the result on the menswear forum Superfuture (where his handle was Corter) sparked enough demand to turn the project into a brand. Today, Corter operates from a solar-powered studio in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, with a small team producing hand-saddle-stitched wallets, cast metal goods, and leather accessories. Corter is also known for its popular YouTube channel with hundreds of thousands of subscribers, where Heins shares leathercraft techniques.
