Buffalo Jackson Trading Co. was founded in 2009 by Xan Hood in Colorado, originally under the name Buffalo & Company. Inspired by the rugged spirit of the American West and icons like Teddy Roosevelt, Ernest Hemingway, and Abraham Lincoln, the brand was built around the idea of the 'Rugged Gentleman.' In 2013 the company relocated to Matthews, North Carolina, where it operates its flagship store. Buffalo Jackson produces full-grain leather wallets, bags, jackets, and apparel, with leather goods crafted by artisans in Mexico, India, and the USA. The brand expanded into women's products in 2017.
